Don’t You Know How To Choose Lithium Batteries?

Oct 17, 2023

As market demand increases, the lithium battery industry continues to expand. There are many brands of lithium batteries on the market, and it is difficult to distinguish between good and bad ones.

1. Look at the appearance

The appearance refers to the appearance, workmanship, size and craftsmanship of the lithium battery. Check whether the seam width of the shell is not wide, whether there are burrs, whether there are oil stains, and whether it feels good. Advanced technology is very comfortable to the touch. The ground rubber oil polished material has good hand feel and strong insulation function.

2. Compare weight

The weight of a lithium battery is directly proportional to its capacity. If it is a polymer lithium battery, if the weight difference is too large, the capacity will definitely be insufficient, but some batteries themselves have different capacities. In addition, you can also feel from the outer packaging whether the weight of the battery is relatively heavy. If it is heavy, it will prefer high-quality lithium batteries.

3. Check whether the capacity is clearly marked

Lithium batteries without clearly marked capacity are likely to be used batteries that have been reassembled using inferior cells or recycled cells. There are many cheap lithium batteries on the market that are made from recycled or dismantled cells. Although the price is cheap, the life is short and the quality is unstable. Careless use may damage the device or even cause it to explode.

4. Check the battery

Most of the cells used in lithium batteries are soft-packed cells and 18650 cells, which are also the more common lithium battery pack cell materials. First check whether the battery is brand new, because there are some unscrupulous small workshops on the market that use used batteries to make lithium batteries. Soft-packed lithium battery, also known as polymer battery, is a battery with soft-packed electrolyte in the form of gel. It can be made into various shapes, the battery is highly safe and will not explode.

5. Look at the brand

There are many brands of lithium batteries, but it is difficult to tell the quality from their appearance. In this case, before you choose, you need to do more homework and check the manufacturer's information online. Generally speaking, professional manufacturers are more reliable than small workshops, and manufacturers that have been in the industry for a long time are more trustworthy than those that are new to the industry. If consumers don't know which brand of battery is better when purchasing, they will directly ask for the battery of the big brand, because under the influence of the brand's practicality, the reliability and quality of the battery will be well guaranteed.
